The Platinum Adventures® is perfect for you if you like museums, theaters, out-of-town excursions, etc. We do the planning, you choose which events you want to go on. There is no annual fee and you only pay for events you wish to participate in. Some of our events are FREE too!

Monday, March 22nd - Art Institute of Chicago-Modern Wing and Matisse Exhibit
Cost: $124.00 per person

We will take a guided tour of the new Modern Wing of the Art Institute and learn about the building's designer, Renzo Piano, and the museums renowned collection of modern art and architecture. After lunch at the Millennium Room we will tour the Matisse exhibit - Matisse Radical Invention, 1913-1917. In the career of Henri Matisse, the time between his 1913 return from Morocco and his 1917 departure for Nice, witnessed the artist's most demanding, experimental and enigmatic works - paintings that are abstracted and purged of descriptive detail, geometric and sharply composed, and dominated by the colors black and gray. The exhibition will reveal deep connections between his works and demonstrate the artist's critical development at this time.

Extended Trips - 2009-2010
Currently, we are planning the following extended trips:
The Best of Sicily & Southern Italy - April 10-19, 2010
Travel with us to Cantina, Syracuse, Taormina, Calabria, Amalfi, Sorrento, Capri, Naples, Pompeii, and more. Our guide will be Carolina who was our guide on our last Italy trip and the best guide I have ever traveled with. Cost: $3499.00 per person based on double occupancy.
Alpine Explorer with the Glacier Express and Oberammergau Passion Play - May 2010
This trip is available only every ten years. You will be visiting Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and witnessing a performance of the Passion Play in Oberammergau. The cost of the trip for double occupancy is $5,999 per person. Reservations must be made by August 15, 2008 with an $850 deposit. A second deposit of $1000 is due one year prior to departure and final payment is due in January of 2010.

Please make checks payable to Platinum Adventures (sorry no credit cards). Please remember to make your menu selections when you reserve your tour. Cancellations are for emergencies only.
