Job Title: Personal Banker

Responsibilities
Lake Forest Bank and Trust is seeking a highly motivated, outgoing and enthusiastic individual to join our Personal Banking staff at our busy Highland Park location. Ideal candidate will possess strong Personal Banking experience, demonstrate exceptional customer service, have the ability to work both independently and as a team, exercise sound judgment, and multi-task.

Primary responsibility is to develop and build quality customer relationships. Must be able to competently discuss the various products and services available to suit the needs of the customer and the Bank. Must maintain up-to-date knowledge of all bank products, services and regulations to effectively handle all aspects of retail clients’ needs, including:

  • Opening/closing/servicing all types of retail and commercial accounts
  • Selling, underwriting & servicing retail/consumer loans (must be registered with NMLS)
  • Responding to customers’ inquiries and requests
  • Researching and resolving problems
  • Cross-selling all bank products and services
  • Making sales referrals to specialized areas of the bank
  • Ordering checks


Successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Comply with internal security policies and procedures; company policies; regulations, and; maintain customer confidentiality at all times
  • Maintain accurate bank records
  • Obtain documentation and provide disclosures required to complete account transactions
  • Attend retail banking meetings
  • Produce reports as required
  • Cooperatively assist/support bank activities and department needs Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Personal Banking experience (2 or more years)
  • Demonstrate commitment to provide superior customer service
  • Solid regulatory knowledge
  • Demonstrate clear, concise and polite oral & written communication skills
  • Excellent probing and listening skills to uncover customer needs
  • Must be able to handle a multitude of situations in a calm, practical and professional demeanor
  • Demonstrate superior interpersonal skills needed for building rapport with customers, staff and management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, produce excellent work results and follow through on commitments.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and as a team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Professional image and strong work ethic
  • Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Working knowledge of Metavante and BankerInsight a plus
  • Willingness to be actively involved in the community
     

 

Job Title: Teller

Lake Forest Bank & Trust is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented team player who takes pride in their work and makes exceptional customer service a priority.

Responsibilities:

  • Service clients in a courteous and professional manner, consistent with our community bank  philosophy
  • Perform typical teller duties
  • Meet teller standards, including balancing daily with minimal differences per established policy
  • Must be flexible to work opening/closing schedule and Saturdays
  • Answer phones in a courteous and professional manner
  • Promote a team environment
  • Other duties as assigned
