As a real community bank, we thought it was important to create the Charity Master Account to give something back to the community we serve. It is a series of accounts and services designed to fulfill the banking needs of charities, schools and other not-for-profit organizations. Our ultimate goal is to allow these organizations to keep money working towards the cause for which it is meant.

  • Rates are now indexed to the 90-Day Treasury Rate¹ and change weekly so you'll always earn at market rates. It's simply our way of showing that we care about your cause.


Free Accounts for Employees

  • No monthly service charges, maintenance or activity charges. Other service charges may apply. In these days of rising bank service charges, free bank accounts can be viewed as a valuable employee benefit for your staff. We will even provide you with brochures to inform your employees of this cost-saving assistance.

Credit Card Processing

  • We offer credit card processing at a discount for charities.

Cash Services

  • Cash boxes and cash counting services are available to you at no cost. Just call ahead to reserve the boxes and we can even organize them for you!


Credit Availability

  • Many times, charities and schools find themselves with opportunities which require the extension of credit-either on a short term or long term basis. Our bank directly, or in conjunction with the State of Illinois or other government agencies, can provide qualified borrowers with the perfect loan at the lowest rates to meet their needs.


Trust Services²

  • Our affiliate, Wayne Hummer Trust Company, offers Planned Giving seminars for your organization. Informational seminars cover such topics as Charitable Remainder Trusts and Individual Estate Planning.

Education Classes

  • Teaching young people the basic concepts of finance and banking is an important part of their education in today's complex world. Officers of our bank are available to come and speak to classes from grade school to high school on such issues as fundamental money management skills, how a bank works, how to obtain credit and much more. Tours for qualified groups are also available.
